Cà dei Frati Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Pietro Dal Cero

A red wine from Cà dei Frati, made from Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. The grapes are dried for some months before fermentation, then the wine ages for a long period in large oak casks. On the nose it gives intense aromas of mature fruit such as cherries in spirit and plums, along with sweet spices, chocolate and a light touch of tobacco. On the palate it is rich and powerful, with enveloping tannin and softness that balances the acidity. The long aromatic persistence ends with notes of dried fruit and spices. It suits elaborate red meat dishes, game and aged cheeses, and can also be enjoyed as a meditation wine.
