A Franciacorta Dosaggio Zero DOCG from Ca' del Bosco's Vintage Collection, blended from 49 base wines of Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco and Pinot Nero.
The grapes are picked by hand into small crates, and the base wines ferment in small oak barrels for about five months. The wine then stays on its lees for 48 months. Disgorgement takes place without oxygen, using a patented system that avoids oxidative shock and extra sulphites.
It is deep straw in colour with fine, persistent bubbles. The nose has fruit, bread crust and a touch of hazelnut. The palate is full and round, ending on a pleasant bitter note.
