Ca' del Bosco Vintage Collection Satèn Franciacorta DOCG 2021

Vintage Collection Satèn is a 2021 Franciacorta from Ca' del Bosco, made from chardonnay and pinot bianco. The grapes are picked by hand into small crates, sorted, chilled and washed in a particular system before pressing. The base wines ferment in small oak barrels for about five months before the cuvée is assembled. Less sugar is added than in other Franciacorta, which gives a creamy, soft style, and the wine rests on its lees for 48 months. Disgorgement takes place without oxygen, using a patented system developed by the house. It is pale golden with fine bubbles. The nose shows fruit, sugared almonds and pastry, and the palate is full-bodied, fresh and savoury, ending lightly citrus.
