A Cabernet-Merlot Alto Adige DOC from Kaltern, ruby red with lively reflections. The nose shows red and black fruit, herbaceous notes and light spice. The palate is linear, with present but restrained tannins and acidity that supports the drink without being intrusive, giving a clean, pleasant impression.
It works for everyday drinking and with roast or grilled meats, mushroom dishes and medium-aged cheeses. Serve cool but not cold, around 16-18 C; a brief decant can harmonise the aromas.
