A red wine from Sicily blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Nero d'Avola. It is deep, almost impenetrable red. The nose is complex, with ripe red fruit, spice, chocolate and a light touch of vanilla from ageing in barrique. On the palate it is powerful yet balanced, with silky, well-integrated tannins and a rich, full body. Flavours of ripe fruit mix with spice, tobacco and chocolate, leading to a long, persistent finish with warmth and complexity. It suits grilled red meats, stews, game and aged cheeses.
