This is a 12 year old single malt from Benriach distillery, bottled by Cadenhead in a 75cl bottle.
Since 2022 the whisky has been finished in Amontillado hogsheads, which add a good deal of flavour. It is sweet with a hint of spice.
The nose brings foam banana sweets, dates, ginger, heather honey and gorse. On the palate come vanilla custard, beeswax, honeycomb and stewed pears. The finish turns to cinnamon rolls, star anise, banoffee pie and tinned peaches.
