This is an Islay single malt from Bowmore, bottled by the independent bottler WM Cadenhead. It was distilled in 2015, matured for 10 years in oak casks and bottled at 46% ABV in a 700ml bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose brings smoked peanut skins, nori, sea spray, kippers, candle wax and tropical fruit such as mango, papaya and grapefruit. On the palate grapefruit leads, followed by preserved and char-grilled lemons, limoncello, white pepper and salinity.
The finish is medium to long, with coastal peat layered with tropical fruit.
