Cadenhead Creations Robust Smoky Embers 1992 23 Year Old Batch #1

Robust Smoky Embers is a 23 year old batch from Cadenhead's Creations, a collection of blends, blended malts and blended grains, each chosen to fit one of four flavour profiles. This first batch brings together whisky from Invergordon and Caol Ila. The smoke on the nose is mellow rather than forceful, alongside vanilla and custard cream from the Invergordon component. The palate is very sweet, with toffee, fudge and tablet once the early smokiness passes, then turns fruitier and coats the mouth, with earthy dunnage notes. The finish is salty and lingering, with smooth honeycomb.
