This is a 12 year old single malt from the Speyside distillery Glen Elgin, bottled by Cadenhead in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled in 2012.
The whisky was re-racked into Palo Cortado casks in 2023. It is fruity and sweet, and develops in the glass towards a slight savoury note.
On the nose there is rock salt, maple bacon and red apples. The palate brings almonds, pears poached in red wine and natural honey, and the finish turns to strawberry and cream sweets, pomegranate and cranberry.
