This is a 12 year old single malt from Glenlossie, a Speyside distillery whose whisky is rarely offered as a single malt. It was matured in bourbon hogsheads and bottled by the independent bottler Cadenhead at 46% ABV.
The nose is lemongrass, spice, sorbet and poached pears. On the palate come shortbread, gooseberries and caramelised brown sugar. The finish brings vanilla pods, icing sugar, crème brûlée and pistachios.
