Cadenhead's Burnside 1998 25 Year Old (35cl, 51.4%)

Burnside 1998 is a 25 year old blended malt in a 35cl bottle, chosen as the first Cadenhead's Club bottling of 2024. Burnside was created by William Grant & Sons and is known as a teaspooned malt, in which a small amount of whisky from another distillery is added to whisky from one distillery. For that reason it is not sold as a single malt under a distillery's name. The whisky was distilled in 1998 and aged for a quarter of a century in a single bourbon hogshead, then bottled at 51.4% abv. It is balanced, with plenty of fruit on the palate.
