This 14-year-old Highland single malt is an independent bottling from William Cadenhead, part of the Enigma range, and the distillery is not named. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2024 at 53.9% ABV, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
It matured in 65% refill sherry butts and 35% refill bourbon hogsheads.
The nose is smoky, with crisp bacon, vanilla custard, banana fritter and butterscotch, lifted by toasted cereal and dried cranberry. The palate is medium-full, with smouldering embers, honeycomb, treacle and gingerbread, balanced by oak spice and a touch of salinity. The finish is long and warming, with nutmeg, dark syrup and soft smoke.
