A 25-year-old blended Scotch whisky from William Cadenhead, distilled in 1998 and bottled in September 2023 at 41.4% ABV. It was matured entirely in refill sherry butts, and bottled without added colouring or chill-filtration.
The nose is walnuts, caramelised sugar, dried orchard fruit and church-pew leather, followed by toffee and fudge. On the palate come chocolate-covered raisins, Madeira cake, prune and strawberry sauce, with light oak tannin. The finish is long, with mild cinnamon, chestnut and caramelised nut skin, ending in a gentle oak dryness.
