A 12 year old Speyside single malt from Tamdhu, bottled by the independent bottler Cadenhead. It was distilled in 2013 and matured in refill Oloroso sherry hogsheads, then bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a small-batch release in Cadenhead's Original Collection, non-chill filtered and with natural colour.
The nose brings dulce de leche, soft caramel, raspberry sorbet and baked pear. On the palate there is blueberry and crystallised ginger, with an oily, weighty texture and a savoury rye-bread edge. The finish offers mandarin, vanilla and lemongrass.
