Caisteal Chamuis Blended Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46%)

Caisteal Chamuis Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is a heavily peated, double-barrelled blend from Mossburn Distillers & Blenders, made as a tribute to Hebridean life and lore. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle without colouring or chill filtration. The malts come from Islay, Orkney and Skye, and include Torabhaig. They are aged first in refill and first-fill American oak hogsheads, then re-aged in two stages in virgin American oak barrels and in European oak heads and hogsheads with fresh Oloroso sherry. A final finish in fresh Bourbon barrels completes the process. The name belongs to a castle on Skye, once a stronghold that helped Clan Macleod secure the Sleat peninsula.
