This Caledonian single grain was distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2020 for the Gordon & Macphail Private Collection. It was matured in a refill American hogshead and is bottled at 55.4% in a 70cl bottle.
The nose has sweet pineapple and baked apple with beeswax polish, cane sugar, white chocolate and vanilla pod. On the palate, soft black pepper and cocoa lead to dried mango, candied lime, ginger and banana bread. The finish is long, with lingering fruit and soft pepper.
