Calumet Farm 12 Year is a Kentucky straight bourbon from the distillery's Single Rack Black Series, bottled at 51% (102 proof) in a 750ml bottle. It spent twelve years in new charred oak barrels.
Each batch in the series is made up of fewer than 19 barrels, and the bottles are individually numbered. Calumet Farm draws on Kentucky's horse racing heritage.
It is described as having vanilla custard, toasted oak, dark caramel, leather and baking spices on the nose. The palate brings brown butter, maple syrup, charred oak, black pepper and dried fruit. The finish is long, with cinnamon, tobacco leaf and vanilla bean.
