This is an 18-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon from Calumet Farm, the Thoroughbred farm behind eight Kentucky Derby winners and two Triple Crown champions. The Centennial Release comes in a commemorative trophy decanter.
It was aged in new charred American oak and bottled at 59% ABV, non-chill filtered. The reported mash bill is 74% corn, 18% rye and 8% malted barley.
The nose is aged oak, dark caramel and vanilla bean. On the palate come toffee, dark cherry, leather and baking spice, followed by a long, warming finish of oak, cocoa and lingering rye spice.
