Calumet Farm Single Rack Black 16 Year Old is a Kentucky straight bourbon, distilled and aged in Bardstown for sixteen years. The recipe is 74% corn, 18% rye and 8% malted barley, and it is bottled at 53% ABV (106 proof) in a 75cl bottle.
Each batch combines nineteen barrels from a single centre-cut rack, and the whiskey is non-chill filtered.
Toasted almond and summer hay show on the nose, with citrus and floral notes emerging as it opens. The palate has oak and rye spice, cherry, dark fruit and baking spice, with bread and toffee behind.
