Calumet Farm Small Batch is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It blends 15-year-old and 8-year-old bourbon from Barton Distillery in Bardstown.
Each batch is drawn from about 50 barrels of deeply charred American oak. The mashbill is 74% corn, 18% rye and 8% malted barley. The brand takes its name from the Thoroughbred horse farm in Lexington, Kentucky.
Caramel, butterscotch and vanilla lead the nose, with baking spice and aged oak. The palate has banana bread, brown sugar, nutmeg, black tea and a smoky char. The finish is medium, with oak, cherry and cinnamon.
