Tawny Port quarter cask
This is a ten-year-old single grain Scotch from Cameronbridge in the Lowlands, bottled by Claxton's as a single cask at 56.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in August 2015 and bottled in 2026. The whole ten years were spent in a Tawny Port quarter cask, in the Dalswinton warehouses. The small size of a quarter cask means more contact between wood and spirit. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Tasting notes describe dried figs, raisins, caramel and toffee on the nose, with cinnamon and a little ginger. The palate brings sweet grain and chocolate, and the finish is long, with dark cocoa and oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
