This is a 50-year-old single grain whisky from Cameronbridge in the Alambic Classique Rare & Old Selection, distilled in 1976 and bottled in 2026 in a 70cl bottle. It matured in a Spanish octave sherry barrel, and only 82 bottles were filled, at 51.6% ABV. Orange marmalade and dark stewed fruit lead the nose, with toasted coconut, vanilla, caramel and Christmas spice. The palate is creamy and sweet, with coconut, nuts and tropical fruit, then oak spice and a fine bitterness. The finish is long, ending dry and mild with sweet toasted notes.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
