A 43-year-old single grain whisky from Cameronbridge, bottled by Douglas Laing for its Xtra Old Particular series. It was distilled in January 1978 and bottled in September 2021 at a cask strength of 53.1% ABV, with 200 bottles drawn from one refill barrel. The series is bottled without colouring and without chill-filtering. The nose is spicy at first, with sweeter notes arriving later. The palate is dense, creamy and rich, with vanilla pods and maple syrup. The finish brings grain, honeycomb and candy floss.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
