Cameronbridge – 2009 16 Year Old Signatory 100º Proof Edition #3 (70cl, 57.1%)

This is a 16 year old single grain whisky from Cameronbridge, distilled in 2009 and bottled by Signatory as Edition #3 at 100º proof, or 57.1%, in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in first and second fill Oloroso sherry butts. The Cameronbridge spirit has a creamy, silky texture that takes on sherry influence readily, and the long maturation gives a weighty, old-fashioned style. Tasting notes mention dark sugars, dried fruit and polished oak, with golden syrup sweetness, toasted nuts and sweet spice.
