A 26 year old single grain whisky from Cameronbridge in the Lowlands, bottled for the 2022 Special Releases at 56.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in refill American oak casks.
It is part of the Elusive Expressions group. Its legend says that gold flows through the River Ore near the distillery every 26 years. Cameronbridge is a grain distillery founded by John Haig in 1824.
The nose is soft, with grain, sweet mango, papaya, spicy oak, toffee and beeswax. The palate is intense and sweet, with caramel, milk chocolate and salty spice. The finish is short and intense, with a warm bite.
