This is a 10 year old Campbeltown blended malt combining Springbank and Glen Scotia. It is a Woodrow's of Edinburgh bottling at cask strength, 76% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was matured in a refill hogshead, and 263 bottles were produced. A refill cask lets the spirit show more clearly against the wood, so more of the Springbank character is kept.
The nose is sweet tropical fruit, vanilla, honey and old leather. The palate is oily, with mango, pineapple and citrus, a hint of sea salt and an oaky musk. The finish is long and spiced, with orange zest and vanilla.
