Campbeltown Loch 30 Year Old Spirit of Freedom is a blended Scotch released to commemorate the 700th anniversary of the Battle of Bannockburn, where Robert the Bruce defeated a much larger English force under Edward II on 24 June 1314. It is one of 2014 bottles, bottled by J & A Mitchell, better known as Springbank, in a 70cl bottle. A large portion of the blend is Springbank. The nose is herbal and floral, with heather honey, nougat, guava, banana, coconut oil and mineral touches. The palate is creamy and fruity, with pineapple, orange and papaya, waxed furniture, vanilla and honey. The finish is long, with some grain, hints of oak and fruity sweetness.

Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
