Campbeltown Loch is a blended malt made by vatting whiskies from Campbeltown: Springbank, Hazelburn, Longrow, Glen Scotia and Kilkerran. It was vatted and bottled at Springbank Distillery and comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%.
The whiskies were matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
It opens with sweet, soft notes of fruit, honey and butterscotch, which give way to maritime and spice notes and the subtlest touch of peat smoke.
