Campbeltown Loch is a blended malt from the Mitchell family, who own Springbank distillery. It is named after the loch beside the town.
Every whisky in the blend was made in Campbeltown: five single malts from the town's three distilleries, Springbank, Glengyle and Glen Scotia. The blend is matured in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks.
The nose is balanced and fruity, with floral notes, brine, almond and light peat. The palate is soft, mineral and lightly smoky, with apricot, pear and caramelised nuts. The finish is long and sweet, with caramel and oak.
