A 1974 vintage cognac from Camus, in a 70cl bottle. The year marks the distillation, and the spirit was aged for an extended period in French oak barrels.
On the nose there are dried fruits such as dates and figs, with cinnamon, nutmeg, leather, tobacco and a delicate floral note. The palate is smooth and velvety, balancing sweet and savoury character: ripe orchard fruit, honey, subtle oak and a gentle spiciness. The finish is long and warm, with dried fruit, spice and a faint earthiness.
