This is a vintage Cognac from Camus, distilled in 1988 and aged for decades in French oak barrels.
The nose is ripe apricot, dried figs and candied citrus peel, with hints of vanilla, toasted almonds and gentle oak spice. The palate is smooth and rounded, with prune, raisin and a touch of honeyed sweetness, plus delicate spice and a velvety texture.
The finish is long and warm, with dried fruit, spice and a subtle earthiness lingering.
