This is Canadian Club blended Canadian whisky, distilled in 1931 and sold in a 75.7cl bottle. The label carries the name of Hiram Walker & Sons, the owners of Canadian Club, prominently. The bottle is date stamped 1931, during US Prohibition, which ran from 1920 to 1933, when contraband whisky, mostly from Canada, was smuggled into the United States. Hiram Walker & Sons is often rumoured to have risen to prominence as a global spirits company partly through whisky running into the USA.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
