This is Canadian Club blended Canadian whisky, distilled in 1932 and sold in a 75.7cl bottle. Hiram Walker & Sons, the owners of Canadian Club, have their name prominently on the label. The bottle dates from the years of US Prohibition, 1920 to 1933, when contraband whisky, mostly from Canada, was smuggled into the United States. Hiram Walker & Sons is often rumoured to have risen to prominence as a global spirits company partly through whisky running into the USA.
