Canadian Club Classic 12 Year is a blended Canadian whisky made at the Hiram Walker distillery in Windsor, Ontario, and bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It follows the brand's 'Blended at Birth' method: the grain distillates are combined before going into the barrel, then spend twelve years together in re-charred oak. The mashbill is built on corn and rye, with rye malt and barley malt.
The nose is soft, with caramel, brown sugar and a faint salty crispness. Delicate spice leads the palate, followed by creamy vanilla, wood and honey. The finish is long and dry, with butterscotch tapering into toasted oak.
