This is a blended Canadian whisky from the Hiram Walker distillery in Windsor, Ontario, in a 200ml bottle at 40% ABV.
The mashbill combines rye, rye malt, barley malt and corn. The rye, rye malt and barley malt are pot distilled, while the corn is column distilled. The distillates are blended before they go into barrel, so the whisky matures as a single spirit.
The nose brings roasted almond, vanilla and peppery rye spice. On the palate it is spicy and zesty, with vanilla, cornflake sweetness, oak and caramel. The finish is clean and dry, with oak tannins.
