Cantina Orsogna Ramora Pinot Grigio Rosé 2020

A rosé wine from Terre di Chieti made from 85% Pinot Grigio and 15% other local grape varieties grown biodynamically at 450-500 metres. Cool growing conditions give a longer ripening period, and fermentation takes place at 12-14°C for about 30 days on steel tanks with the skins, using the grapes' own yeasts. The wine then matures on its lees in steel tanks for three months and for a further two months after bottling. Its copper-red colour comes from the long contact with Pinot Grigio's reddish skin. The nose is aromatic and intense, with wild flowers, yellow plums, mirabelles and a little peach, finishing with rich, ethereal tones. The palate balances freshness and fruit sweetness, with exotic fruit and herb nuances, ending dry and slightly spicy. It suits shellfish, fish, white meat and vegetable dishes.
