A ten year old Caol Ila from Islay, distilled in 2016 and bottled in 2026 by Claxtons. It has a deep mahogany colour, and PX sherry influence runs through the whisky, set against the maritime, peaty character of the island.
On the nose there are ripe plums and raisins, a maritime note and light peat smoke. The palate offers dark chocolate and cocoa on a base of spicy oak, with a viscous texture and a peaty depth. The finish is long, with fine oak spice, smoky touches and a subtle sherry sweetness.
