Caol Ila 10 Year Old Feis Ile 2018 is an Islay single malt released for the 2018 Feis Ile festival and bottled that year at 58.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 2,500 bottles were filled. It was matured in refill American oak hogsheads and rejuvenated European oak butts, and is non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The nose has stewed dark fruits, golden syrup, clove and cinnamon, with subtle aged oak. The palate brings rich dried fruits, dried lemon peel and syrupy toffee caramel. The finish is medium to long, with smoky fruitcake and a gentle warmth.
