Caol Ila 12 Years is an Islay single malt from the distillery near Port Askaig, founded in 1846. It is bottled in a 70cl bottle.
The nose shows delicate peat and a pronounced salty note, with tobacco, a touch of pepper, honey and dark chocolate. On the palate it is rich and sweet, with smoky peat, ripe pears and apples, honey and a hint of vanilla.
