This is a 13 year old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail in its Discovery range at 43% ABV. It is a smoky, peaty whisky.
The nose combines sweet vanilla and dry cured meat, with peat smoke underneath and apple and apricot alongside. On the palate come ripe banana, kiwi and bright hints of fresh citrus, leading to a long, sweet and smoky finish.
