This is a 16 year old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled by Elixir Distillers for their Black Friday 2022 series. It was bottled in 2022 at 53.2% ABV, in a run of 2,000 bottles, after maturing in oak casks.
The nose is bright, with apple and ripe peach, a hint of cherry and a little oak. On the palate there is honeyed vanilla, toasted cereal and salted caramel, followed by a long, smooth finish of mellow toffee and fading spice.
