This is an Islay single malt distilled at Caol Ila in 2007 and bottled by Samaroli as its Edition 2018. It comes in a 50cl bottle, in a presentation box.
The wood has been used with a careful hand, which the bottling credits for the way the spirit has developed. In the glass it is a bright amber with hints of old gold.
The nose opens with grassy tones and a touch of salt, then iodine and salted butter come through. The palate follows the same path: pleasantly fresh and enveloping, with a long finish.
