Caol Ila – Cask Strength is a single malt whisky from Caol Ila (Islay). Bottled at 55% ABV, 70cl. Caol Ila distillery sits on the eastern shore of Islay, overlooking the Sound of Islay from which it takes its name. Founded in 1846 near Port Askaig, it is one of the island's largest distilleries and has been part of Diageo's portfolio for many years, supplying malt widely used in blends as well as producing a celebrated range of official bottlings. Bottled at natural cask strength of 55% ABV without chill-filtration, this is the distillery's own Cask Strength expression — an unfiltered, non age statement release presented at 70cl and bottled at Caol Ila Distillery, Port Askaig, Isle of Islay.
