Caperdonich 1972 16 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky bottled by Signatory Vintage as No.1 in its Sailing Ships Series. It is a limited edition of 1,200 bottles at 40% ABV.
The whisky was distilled on 24 October 1972 and spent 16 years in sherry casks before it was bottled in November 1988.
The nose shows zesty citrus with hints of dried figs and sherry oak. Dried plums, creamy toffee and subtle spice follow on the palate, and the medium-long finish balances toffee sweetness with spice.
