This Speyside single malt was distilled at Caperdonich in 1995 and bottled at 29 years old from a single cask, number 95065, for The Artful Dodger Whisky Collective. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.6% in a 50cl bottle. Caperdonich closed in 2002 and was later demolished.
The nose is honeyed orchard fruit with soft waxiness, vanilla, polished oak and a touch of citrus peel. The palate is rounded and mature, with ripe apple, malt sweetness, gentle spice and seasoned wood. The finish is long and composed, with lingering fruit, soft spice and mellow oak.
