This is a 30 year old Speyside single malt from Caperdonich, a distillery that has closed. It was distilled in 1982 and matured in a single refill sherry butt before being bottled in July 2012 at 50.9% ABV. Douglas Laing & Co. released it in their Director's Cut series. The refill sherry cask adds dried fruit, spice and oak to the spirit's natural fruitiness.
