This is a 16 year old Cardhu single malt from the 2022 Diageo Special Releases, in a 750ml bottle at 58% ABV. The whisky was finished in ex-Jamaican rum casks, which add a funky, tropical sweetness.
The release takes its theme, 'The Hidden Paradise of Black Rock', from the distillery's original name, Carn Dubh, which means 'the black rock'.
