This is a Williamson single malt from Islay, a name often used for malt distilled at Laphroaig. It comes from Morrison Distillers' Càrn Mòr Strictly Limited range, distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024 after nine years in sherry hogsheads.
It is bottled at 47.5% in a 70cl bottle, with natural colour and no chill filtration, and 1,623 bottles were filled.
The nose is smouldering campfire, sea spray and spiced dried fruits. On the palate, bold peat smoke meets treacle toffee, stewed plums and hints of dark chocolate. The finish is long, warming and slightly medicinal, with a lingering sherry richness.
