This is a blanco tequila from Casa Don Ramón, made from 100% blue agave from the Jalisco highlands. It is double-distilled, which gives a rounded, clean taste and a clear profile, and it suits cocktails as well as drinking neat.
The agave was pressed before cooking, which brings out a pronounced herbal character. It is bottled at 38% ABV.
The nose is light and floral, with herbs and the typical agave aroma. The palate is clean, fresh and floral, with a touch of sweetness that develops into a mineral warmth.
