A Dolcetto d'Alba DOC from Cascina Fontana. It has a bright, inviting ruby colour, with fresh red fruit such as cherry and plum, light floral notes and delicate spice. On the palate it is agile and dry, with soft tannins and freshness that balances the fruit; the finish is savoury, easy to drink and leaves a pleasant fruity note. It suits regional dishes, cold cuts, simple first courses, white meats and fresh or medium-aged cheeses. Serve around 16-18 C, with brief decanting if natural sediment is present.
